Jenny Schu is a Fiber Artist based out of Lansing, Michigan. Her favorite fiber techniques to work with are handweaving with supplemental warps and beadweaving. Jenny often integrates all of her woven, knitted, stitched, beaded techniques together to create her own installed surroundings. Although stitching, knitting and beading has been part of her regular practice since elementary school, she also gained priceless formal instruction from the University of Michigan School of Art and Design (BFA 2004) studying with Sherri Smith and adding a minor in Art History.
Jenny is more than happy to give programs about her artwork and teach some of the beadweaving techniques. Usually these are set up through Guilds or arts organizations. Fell free to contact her for pricing and to see her schedule availability. Planning is best for 3 or more months out.
